Why Me?
A national charity aiming to increase access to Restorative Justice. Why me? began with a crime, the creator Will Riley was burgled by Peter Woolf. And through restorative justice, they worked on ensuring that Peter never offended again by showing the impact on what he did and directing him towards a better path. Will Riley and Peter Woolf set up Why me? to fight for access to Restorative Justice as it changed their lives, and they want to see it change more lives.
Why me? are advocates within the Criminal Justice System, local and central government, judicial/police/youth services and policy-makers. They have many campaigns they are working on currently. They are advocating for a victims' bill which is legislation offering availability to every victim of crime, providing statutory footing for the 12 entitlements of the victim code of practice. This bill will strengthen the rights of those harmed by crime.
They have many other campaigns highlighted on their website.
